Giving back and making a positive impact on the community are core values at Roadway Moving, and we recently had the privilege of partnering with Jill Zarin’s Luxury Luncheon to support a cause that does just that. The funds raised at this celebrity event contributed to the Bobby Zarin Memorial Trust, which supports cancer research in memory of Jill Zarin’s late husband, who tragically passed away from cancer.
A Perfect Match: From Customer to Partner
Jill Zarin, a valued repeat Roadway customer, approached us to be part of her prestigious event. We were thrilled to be able to use our logistical expertise to help with the massive production of this year’s luncheon.
Traveling for a Cause
The event took place in the breathtaking Hamptons, NY. However, gift bag goods worth over $500,000 were located in Palm Beach (FL). Our strategically-based home office in FL was key to the successful relocation of this valuable cargo that needed to be treated with the utmost security and extra care. In the end, the merchandise was delivered on-time and in style to Montauk (NY), for the much- anticipated charity event.
Relaxation and Luxury: A Roadway Experience
At the Luxury Luncheon, we set up a relaxation station to provide attendees with much-needed pampering. Our expert masseuses offered rejuvenating massages, and we gave guests the chance to win tickets to our VIP Yankees Suite, an experience worth cherishing.
We also custom-wrapped our sprinter van, transforming it into the iconic “Treat Yourself” van. When attendees approached the van and rang the bell, they were handed beautiful, fully packed gift bags. The van itself became a sought-after photo opportunity due to its beautifully designed wrap, attracting attention and admiration from all quarters.
A Star-Studded Affair
The luncheon attracted a star-studded lineup of celebrity attendees, including LuAnn de Lesseps, Julia Haart, Cynthia Bailey, Margaret Josephs, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Kristen Taekman, Jennifer Fessler, and LeeAnne Locken, among others. Their presence added a touch of glamour and excitement to the event, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.
